The licensed model focuses on the entire school. From administration to parents everyone is included. All data is imported into the WAVE system via a file import process driven by WildBright and coordinated with the school. Administrators have access to all a schools resources such as school year, semesters, courses, classes, grade levels and sections, user management for admin, teachers, students and parents, and much more. Following are the 4 main components of the licensed model:
- Administration:
In WAVE (licensed) an administrator can be given permission by the root admin to carry out tasks for the school. The features an administrator can have access to are many. Each major component is broken down into a content manager storing all the schools vital information and a user manager for managing the roles of each admin, teacher, student and parent within WAVE.
- Teachers:
Everything a teacher needs to function can be found in the WAVE (licensed). Teachers can manage their classes and students, upload course materials, create and modify online and offline assignments, print their class schedules, and much more.
- Students:
In WAVE (licensed) students can always stay on top of their school work. With announcements, access to classes and grades right from their home screen, online and offline assignments, and much more.
- Parents:
A parents access to WAVE (licensed) is very inclusive. Parents can view each of their children's upcoming assignments and announcements. Parents can also choose a child to view more detailed information. WAVE allows the parent to (View) all of their child's assignments, grades, schedules, and everything else a student can visually see.
The subscription model focuses primarily on teachers and students. Teachers can create and manage courses and classes, create and post online or offline assignments, create and manage assignment weights and categories, manage grading sheets, upload course materials, and much more. Following are the two main components of the WAVE (subscription model):
- Teachers Subscription:
In WAVE (subscription) a teacher who is interested in teaching a subject can subscribe to the service by filling in an online application. Once credentials and information are verified, an approval email will be sent to the teacher. Once a teacher is approved, he or she can start creating and managing courses and classes and interacting with students.
- Students Enrollment:
In WAVE (subscription) any student who's interested in enrolling in a course can do so by filling in the application (located at http://wavele.wildbright.com). Once enrolled, a student will be provided with a user name and password so they can access their account and classes. Every student will have a grace period to Add and Drop classes. During this period, a student is entitled to a full refund.
